Adventure #14: 阿鴻小吃

Today, we decided to try Hung's Delicacies in North Point.  No one is available to join us, so just G and I.  We tried to get there early in order to avoid the dinner crowd but unfortunately work got in the way and we arrived at around 7.15pm.  There was already a queue there.  After putting down our name on the self-service reservation sheet, we sat down to wait for our turn.

Hung is a Chiuchow restaurant and some of its specialities include duck jaw 滷水鴨下巴 and 芥末雞腳筋 chicken feet tendon.......hmmmm, not our thing.

About 40 minutes later, we were seated.  Since there were only 2 of us (still on the diet), we can only order limited dishes. We started with what we came for - 蔡瀾撈麵 aka 豬油撈麵! It was amazingly good and well worth the wait!

Sorry about the quality of the photo, can't wait to get my hands on it!

We also ordered the goose and pigs intestine 滷水鵝片大腸 and fried squid cakes.  The goose dish was simply excellent.  The squid cakes dish was good in its own right but it didn't gel with the other dishes, so may be next time we will give it a miss.

Definitely a place we will return to but may consider doing a drive-by-and-take-away.
